Peacekeeping in the Climate Crisis: A WPS Agenda for Resilience and Relevance

On Wednesday, October 1st at 10am ET, the Alliance for Peacebuilding will kick off Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) month with a hybrid discussion focusing on the intersection of peacekeeping, climate change, and the WPS Agenda. Erin Lyons, a Senior Fellow at Women in International Security (WIIS) Italy, will present key case studies and recommendations from her recent article "Peacekeeping in the Climate Crisis: A WPS Agenda for Resilience and Relevance." She will highlight how integrating climate resilience and gender perspectives into peacekeeping can enhance mission effectiveness and strengthen long-term stability.
