Individual Membership
Instructions on the process of joining are below.
As a member of the Environmental Peacebuilding Association® (EnPAx®), you will automatically join the online Community of Practice and receive the Environmental Peacebuilding Update electronically every two weeks. In addition, members will receive other benefits, including:
- Personal profile in our online directory, and ability to connect with other members
- Participation in and ability to develop Interest Groups
- Access to Association webinars, seminars, and online discussions
- Reduced registration fees for our global conference
- Free subscription to "Environment and Security," the only peer-reviewed journal in the field (launched Sept. 2023)
- Mentoring opportunities (both to be a mentor and to receive mentorship)
- Preferential placement of publications and other relevant resources in the Environmental Peacebuilding Update
- Career resources and job opportunities
- Opportunities to pose questions and seek feedback from Association Members
- Voting rights in the Association
- Have your publication, job, or event announcement highlighted by the Environmental Peacebuilding Update
Individual Membership Rates
Individual membership rates vary by type and income level (the honor system applies when Members select their rate).

These rates are set to enable participation by anyone who is interested. If the rate is a problem, please contact membership@environmentalpeacebuilding.org, and we will work out a solution.
We encourage donations to support the participation of people from developing countries, as well as the development of new activities. Donations can be made during the payment portion of the registration process.
Proration
For administrative purposes, membership is by the calendar year. Membership rates are prorated to account for when people join.
To join, please complete these two quick steps:
- Please register: The first step is to click on the "Sign Up" link at the top of the page. This is a short profile, and it should take only a couple minutes. Later, you will be given the opportunity to expand your profile for the Membership Directory
- Please pay: After you register, you will receive an invoice to pay the membership fees using a credit card on the Square platform. We use Square because it is secure, easy, and affordable. Other options include PayPal, bank transfers (for larger payments), and Western Union. If you have any questions or difficulties, please contact membership@environmentalpeacebuilding.org
