Sitting in South Sudan in the basin of the White Nile, a healthy Sudd is essential to those who call it home as well as to our planetary wellbeing. Discussions will explore the current status of infrastructure, wildlife, protected areas, land cover and use, community resilience, and the impacts of climate change on Africa’s largest wetland as we work to advance our collective understanding of this critical region and build partnerships toward a more sustainable future for the region and its people.
