This session examined how crimes that affect the environment—such as wildlife and forest crime, illegal fishing, mining and metals trafficking, and illegal waste—intersect with climate change, with each exacerbating the other by deepening vulnerabilities, degrading ecosystems, driving pollution and biodiversity loss, and heightening climate- and security-related risks.
