Climate security refers to the ways in which climate change exacerbates existing social, economic, and political vulnerabilities, potentially leading to conflict and instability.  It turns out, the concept has been around since 2008 and is gaining renewed attention as extreme weather events increase in frequency and intensity, outpacing the ability of many countries to respond.
