Nigeria/South Sudan: South Sudan Minister Focuses on New Oil & Gas Regulations in Nigeria Visit

South Sudan has reaffirmed its commitment to the implementation of new local content regulations in oil & gas, during a meeting between Minister of Petroleum Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth and Nigerian President Mohammadu Buhari. Speaking with the President in Abuja on Tuesday, the Minister said South Sudan was expanding its oil & gas infrastructure and putting more wells into production. He requested technical support and cooperation in the sector from President Buhari, and appealed to Nigeria to share its experience in the hydrocarbons industry with South Sudan.
