Bangladesh/Myanmar: Teknaf Farmers, Fishermen in Panic over Myanmar Armed Conflict

The ongoing armed conflict inside Myanmar is having a direct impact on Bangladesh’s territory along the Teknaf border in Cox’s Bazar. The lives and livelihoods of local residents in the border area are at serious risk.  Fearing for their safety, farmers and fishermen are unable to tend their fields, manage fish farms, or go fishing in the Naf River. The people living along the border ask one question repeatedly—when will they be free from this uncertainty and fear?
