DRC: DRC Uses Geoscience Data to Strengthen Oversight of Mining Sector

The Democratic Republic of Congo has launched a new program to strengthen oversight of its mining sector by improving the production and use of geoscientific data. The initiative, known as “PanAfGeo+ INVEST,” was officially introduced on March 17, according to a statement from the Ministry of Mines. It aims to enhance governance of the sector through better geological knowledge and more responsible management of natural resources.
