The United Nations Human Settlements Programme in Afghanistan (UN-Habitat) has warned that the country is vulnerable to environmental degradation. The agency wrote on its Facebook page on Saturday, 8 November 2025, that poor waste and water management, along with a shortage of green spaces, threaten public health.
