Please consider submitting a manuscript to an upcoming Special Feature in Sustainability Science focusing on post-war forest landscape restoration. The Special Feature seeks to advance interdisciplinary understanding of how ecological and socio-cultural restoration, governance processes, and community-based initiatives contribute to recovery in contexts affected by war.

We particularly welcome contributions that reflect the diversity of recovery pathways across different geographical contexts and disciplinary perspectives. Comparative and empirically grounded studies that bridge social and ecological dimensions are especially valued.

A key aim of this Special Feature is to foster dialogue across contexts and disciplines, highlighting how recovery processes unfold under varying institutional, environmental, and societal conditions, and how these processes can inform more resilient and inclusive sustainability pathways.
