Dr. Amanda Woomer is a monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) specialist with a focus on environmental peacebuilding and climate resilience. Her work in this field began with the development of Conservation International’s (CI) Environmental Peacebuilding Training Manual in 2017. Since then, Amanda has remained deeply engaged in advancing MEL practices by conducting studies and evaluations, supporting the design of MEL frameworks, and promoting approaches that prioritize localized, accessible methods and learning for adaptive management. She is also the co-author of the Toolkit on Monitoring and Evaluation of Environmental Peacebuilding.
