Champions
The Environmental Peacebuilding Association is thrilled to introduce the Environmental Peacebuilding Champions program, a Path to Ottawa initiative that brings together 23 passionate advocates from around the world to foster dialogue around environmental peacebuilding and build engagement around the forthcoming Essential Concepts of Environmental Peacebuilding: An A to Z Guide (also known as the glossary of environmental peacebuilding terms).
Selected from among glossary contributors, these Champions represent diverse geographic regions, professional backgrounds, and perspectives. They will generate excitement around the glossary within their communities and networks ahead of the Fourth International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding (June 2026; Ottawa).
Each Champion will:
-
Organize an event (virtual, in-person, or hybrid) to foster dialogue on environmental peacebuilding and generate interest in the glossary.
-
Write a blog post or other content sharing insights from the event.
-
Have the opportunity to participate in a roundtable session at the upcoming Fourth International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding
Supported by the PeaceNexus Foundation, this initiative represents a commitment to making environmental peacebuilding knowledge accessible, relevant, and actionable for practitioners, researchers, students, policymakers, and communities worldwide.
Please check out this page for the events organized by the Environmental Peacebuilding Champions, as well as by other glossary contributors.
