Meryam El Bouhati is a doctoral candidate in political science at the University of Lille (CERAPS). At the intersection of environment, peace, and development, her research is grounded in an interdisciplinary approach and draws on several field studies conducted in Lebanon, and a participant observation at the UN Climate Security Mechanism in New York. She focuses on the role that international organizations play in contemporary forms of environmental governance, particularly in the water sector, as well as on current dynamics of climate securitization.
