Stephanie Martinez, MPH, MIA, is a doctoral candidate in the Urban and Environmental Planning and Policy Program at the University of California, Irvine. She brings a professional background in global public health research. Her dissertation focuses on engaging diverse knowledges in global environmental governance and the Rights of Nature movement. Stephanie is also a research partner with the Movement and Music Optimizes Optimal Vital Energy (MOVE) Lab at the Alec Glasser Center for the Power of Music & Social Change, exploring the power of dance and embodied knowledges in community-building.
