In October 2025 a new online course on Conflict-Sensitive Conservation was launched at the IUCN WCC (hosted by the IUCN Academy). The course is a valuable new resource for conservation practitioners working in conflict-affected and unstable contexts. It also offers opportunities for peer learning on how conflict sensitivity enhances conservation outcomes and environmental peacebuilding. This workshop will introduce the course and its uptake up until June 2026. It will then brainstorm ideas for using the course to deepen conflict-sensitive conservation practice and learning, around the following indicative questions: - How could the course support internal learning and practice change for conservation organisations and their partners? - How might funders use the course to help them design their support? - How might we capture learning for the sector, to enrich the evidence on what works in conflict-sensitive conservation? - How could use of the course support other emerging initiatives?
