Using anthopogenic, political and economic persepectives, the book highlights a group of challenges that are facing the West Asia region, which comprises two geographic sub-regions- the Mashriq: Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria; and Yemen, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates (UAE).
