Call for Path to Ottawa Initiatives

In the lead-up to the Fourth International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding–taking place in June 2026 in Ottawa, Canada–the Environmental Peacebuilding Association® (EnPAx®) and Conference partners are hosting the Path to Ottawa, a global, consultative series of events and initiatives. The call for events was announced in June 2025; online events kicked off in July 2025 and will continue until March.We are pleased to announce the launch of Path to Ottawa Initiatives. Each initiative advances the field of environmental peacebuilding in discrete ways. These initiatives may be started, advanced, or released at the Conference. 

If you are interested in having your initiative showcased as part of the Path to Ottawa and at the Conference, please contact conference@environmentalpeacebuilding.org. The Conference Organizing Committee has approved two Path to Ottawa Initiatives already:

-- The Glossary of Environmental Peacebuilding Terms is a collaborative initiative led by EnPAx and developed with contributions from more than 200 experts across the environmental peacebuilding field. Building on the momentum generated by the Path to the Hague and the Third International Conference on Environmental Peacebuilding, the Glossary includes more than 150 defined entries that covers key terms . Currently under contract as a publication through Routledge, the Glossary will serve as a shared reference point to enhance coherence, clarity, and collaboration across research, policy, and practices.

-- The second approved Path to Ottawa initiative a visual 'Story Gallery' of the incredible work our community members do to support environmental peacebuilding efforts around the world developed by the Community of Practice on Environment, Climate, Conflict, and Peace (ECCP) - and we want to feature you!
