STOOS Consulting is recruiting South Sudan-based trainers and facilitators to deliver practical, context-appropriate training and coaching for women, youth, farmers, VSLAs, and MSMEs, with a focus on remote/rural access and fragile settings.
Description of the Tasks
- Lead needs assessments and local market scans to prioritize high-potential trades and value chains.
- Develop English and Arabic/local-language curricula with competency frameworks and job/market alignment.
- Deliver interactive instruction (demonstrations, practicums, mobile clinics) and work-based learning.
- Strengthen VSLAs (formation, governance, financial discipline, linkages to MFIs/banks).
- Provide business and job-readiness coaching (CVs, interviews, work ethics, health/safety).
- Integrate climate-smart agriculture, resilient livestock practices, and DRR considerations.
- Use pre/post tests and skills demonstrations; maintain coaching records and referrals.
- Produce action-oriented reports detailing results, risks, and next steps; coordinate with county/state actors.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Residence in South Sudan; English and Arabic/local-language fluency.
- Degree/TVET in relevant technical fields; 5+ years of training/coaching in humanitarian or development programmes.
- Proven curriculum design, adult-learning, community facilitation, and inclusive delivery.
- Ability to operate in low-infrastructure areas with strong safeguarding, Do No Harm, and conflict sensitivity.
- Practical MEL and evidence-based adaptation; familiarity with agri-livelihoods and MSME finance is a plus.
